Dr. Sims
President
Prior to his career in higher education leadership and administration,Dr. Sims built a successful career in industrial construction manage-ment. He was a project controls supervisor for Cherne Contracting, a cost engineer for Badger Engineers, and a project controls engineerwith the Westinghouse Savannah River Corporation. His continuedpassion for technology led to a special interest in the connection between construction management and critical infrastructure. Nowat Capitol Technology University, he is merging his experiential back-ground and Capitol Tech’s excellence in cybersecurity to create pro-grams that meet emerging market demand for multi-disciplinary pro-fessionals. Dr. Sims earned a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction in1999 from Purdue University, which is also his undergraduate almamater; he received his B.S. in Building Construction Managementthere in 1990. He also holds an M.S. degree in Building Constructionfrom the University of Florida.

Dr. Burke
Program Director of the Construction Management and Critical Infrastructure Program
Beyond his higher education administration experience, Dr. Burke has extensive background in business operations and management,commercial and residential construction, real estate and land devel-opment, as well as residential and commercial property management.He is a Licensed General Contractor and owned and operated a con-struction and development firm in North Carolina from 1990-2004.Prior to joining Capitol Technology University, Dr. Burke was Director of the Office of Professional Education at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Worldwide. He has an MBA from Southern Methodist University and a BS in Building Science from Auburn University.

Dr. Ron Martin
Professor of Practice: CriticalInfrastructure, Industrial ControlSystem Security, and Accessand Identity Management
Through his consultancy, Dr. Ron Martin maintains professional relationships with a diverse mix of businesses. He served as a board of directors for-profit and non-profit organizations. Dr. Martin retired from the United States (U. S.) Army in 1999 and the U. S. Government in 2011. In between his tours of Federal Service, he served five years as a civilian police officer in the Commonwealth of Virginia. During his Federal Service, he served with the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services as the program director for the development and implementation of the department’s Identity, Credentialing and Access Management (ICAM) Program.
